What's the difference between RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS?

Is there a difference?

Let's begin by looking at the root meaning of the words from their Hebraic and Greek context.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Righteousness is what was done for us by the literal shedding of YESHUA's blood.

Holiness is the manifestation of the HOLY SPIRIT within Us.

Ø      NOTE:  All manifestations of holiness are by and through the Holy Spirit.

 It is not something we achieve by doing good works BUT rather it is the Work of the  HOLY SPIRIT within us.

Galatians 5 : 22 - 25

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
(Galatians 5:22-25 ESV)

• A believer manifesting such Fruit may be considered "mature" or more Spirit-led in regards to their daily walk.

But what about those believers who tend to be more "carnal" and thus less mature in their behavior?

Are we to discredit their "conversion"?

No, but rather we should do as Paul suggests in Galatians 6 : 1 - 3

 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 
(Galatians 6:1-5 ESV)

The bottomline is this:

• We as believers are called to be set apart, because of what YESHUA has done for us! 
• Our actions are not of this World, but are manifestations of the HOLY SPIRIT for those who CONCEDE to its power!

We also discussed how the "adversay" likes to mimic THE LORD!

• For example the "adversary" perverts LOVE with LUST.
• THE LORD's city is JERUSALEM, the adversary uses Babylon.

Before the Mark of the Beast there was the Mark of the LORD

Revelation 14 : 9

            And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand…

Exodus 13 : 9 - 10

            [9] And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the TORAH of the LORD may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.

[10]You shall therefore keep this statute at its appointed time from year to year.

Exodus 13 : 16

            It shall be as a mark on your hand or frontlets between your eyes, for by a strong hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt.”
